WHAT CAN AFFECT THE PRICE?
Size of the job — Larger projects generally receive a lower rate per square metre
Type & condition — The type of asbestos-containing material, its condition and how easily it can be removed intact can affect the price
Access & height — Ground-level work with easy access will generally cost less than work requiring scaffolding, edge protection or specialist access equipment
How it’s installed — Materials that are difficult to remove, buried in soil, trapped in concrete or installed in hard-to-reach areas can require additional labour
Waste & additional materials — Waste volume affects disposal costs. Insulation, building paper, battens, purlins or other materials may also need to be treated and disposed of as asbestos-contaminated waste
Location — Standard travel within Tauranga is included. Additional travel charges may apply for work outside Tauranga
